Abstract

Epithelial tissue is one of the four fundamental tissue types in the human body and plays a critical role in protection, absorption, secretion, and filtration. This article reviews the anatomical distribution and histological characteristics of epithelial tissue, with emphasis on its cellular organization, classification, and functional significance. Understanding epithelial structure at both anatomical and microscopic levels is essential for medical and biological sciences.
