Abstract

Annotation: This article is devoted to the topic 'Methods and Principles of Teaching Foreign Languages.' The study examines the theoretical foundations of foreign language teaching methodology, the key principles underlying effective language instruction, and the major communicative and cognitive approaches applied in contemporary educational settings. Furthermore, the article analyses the role of interactive, communicative, audio-lingual, and grammar-translation methods in developing learners' linguistic competence. The pedagogical significance of learner-centred approaches, task-based learning, and differentiated instruction is explored in the context of modern foreign language education. Scientific explanations of innovative methodological frameworks and their impact on the quality and effectiveness of language learning are provided.
