Abstract

Annotation: This article investigates the impact of globalization on the spread, transformation, and dominance of English as a world language. It analyzes how economic integration, international communication, technology, media, and education have accelerated the global use of English. The study highlights both the positive and negative consequences of globalization on linguistic diversity and cultural identity. The findings show that while globalization has strengthened English as a global lingua franca, it has also led to debates about linguistic imperialism and the erosion of minority languages. The research concludes that English has become a dynamic medium reflecting global interdependence, innovation, and cultural exchange in the 21st century.
