THE ROLE OF MULTIMEDIA TOOLS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING.

Abstract

Annotation: This article explores the role of multimedia tools in English language teaching (ELT), examining their impact on learner engagement, skill development, and overall proficiency. Drawing from existing literature and a synthesis of empirical studies, it analyzes how tools such as videos, interactive applications, audio resources, and digital platforms enhance traditional teaching methods. The study employs a mixed approach combining literature review with insights from quantitative and qualitative findings in prior research. Results indicate significant improvements in listening, speaking, vocabulary acquisition, and motivation, though challenges like technical access and teacher training persist. Conclusions highlight the transformative potential of multimedia when integrated thoughtfully, with suggestions for educators and institutions.
