Abstract

The pedagogical value of the shadowing technique in teaching has been recognized as a significant contribution to modern education, particularly in the realm of foreign language instruction. Shadowing, a method where learners repeat after a model speaker—usually immediately and continuously—focuses on fostering an immersive experience in real-time linguistic processing. The technique stands out for its ability to reinforce phonetic accuracy, rhythm, intonation, and fluency, serving as a bridge between passive understanding and active usage of a target language.
