HOW TEACHERS CAN CREATE A POSITIVE ENGLISH LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

A positive learning environment plays a crucial role in the successful acquisition of English as a foreign language. Students learn more effectively when they feel safe, respected, and motivated in the classroom. This article explores how teachers can create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes language development. It discusses emotional safety, teacher–student relationships, classroom management, motivation strategies, interactive teaching methods, and the use of feedback. The study highlights that a positive English learning environment not only improves language skills but also increases learners’ confidence and willingness to communicate.
