CULTURAL AWARENESS IN TEACHING ENGLISH

Abstract

The process of learning English as a foreign language involves not only the acquisition of linguistic knowledge but also the understanding of cultural norms, values, and communicative practices of English-speaking communities. This article examines the role of cultural awareness in English language teaching and its contribution to the development of intercultural communicative competence.
