Effective professional communication in English has become a critical competency for future specialists in technical, engineering, and vocational fields. This article explores the importance of developing professional communication skills in English for technical college students and young professionals. The study examines the role of English in workplace interactions, international collaboration, and career advancement. It emphasizes practical approaches to teaching and learning, including English for Specific Purposes (ESP), project-based activities, role-plays, and digital tools. Challenges such as limited exposure, low motivation, and language barriers are analyzed. The article concludes that integrating profession-oriented English instruction into technical education significantly enhances students’ employability, professional confidence, and global competitiveness.
