THE ROLE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNICAL COLLEGE STUDENTS

In the modern globalized and technology-driven world, English has become an essential tool for professional communication and career development. This article explores the role of the English language in the professional development of technical college students. The study analyzes the importance of English for acquiring professional knowledge, understanding technical documentation, developing workplace communication skills, and increasing employability in both local and international labor markets. Special attention is given to the integration of English for Specific Purposes (ESP), communicative and competency-based approaches, and digital technologies in teaching English at technical colleges. The article also discusses the challenges faced by technical students in learning English and proposes effective pedagogical strategies to enhance their professional language competence. The findings indicate that systematic and profession-oriented English language instruction significantly contributes to students’ professional growth and career readiness.
