Abstract

In this article, both traditional and modern methods of teaching English are discussed in detail. The main principles, techniques, and goals of traditional instruction are explored, along with its advantages and disadvantages. Special attention is given to the achievements and outcomes that have been obtained through the use of these conventional methods in English language education. Furthermore, modern approaches to teaching English that are widely applied today are examined, with emphasis on their innovative features, effectiveness, and influence on learners’ motivation and language proficiency. By comparing both approaches, the evolution of English language teaching over time is demonstrated, and it is shown how the integration of traditional and modern methods can create a more balanced and effective learning process.
