Abstract

This article reveals the pedagogical foundations of forming national identity in the process of primary education. The significance of incorporating national values, traditions, and customs into the educational content is analyzed, as well as the factors contributing to the development of students’ national consciousness and sense of national pride. The interrelation between teaching and upbringing is substantiated, along with the necessity of considering age characteristics, using interactive methods, and fostering cooperation between family and school. The article presents effective pedagogical approaches to developing national self-awareness, devotion to the Motherland, and spiritual maturity among primary school students.
