This paper provides a detailed theoretical and empirical analysis of how membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO) influences the export potential of developing countries. It explores the institutional and policy mechanisms through which the WTO facilitates access to global markets—such as tariff reduction, transparency, technical and sanitary standards, liberalization of trade in services, foreign investment, and participation in global value chains. The study also draws on comparative experiences of both developed and developing member countries to identify key success factors, constraints, and institutional requirements. Based on theoretical reasoning and empirical observations, the paper presents practical recommendations for enhancing export diversification, improving product quality, strengthening technical capacity, and promoting deeper integration into regional and global trade systems.
