Abstract

The purpose of this study was to comprehensively assess the effectiveness of chewing function and metabolic processes in the oral cavity in patients who underwent uranoplasty. The work analyzed the functional state of the chewing apparatus using clinical and functional methods, as well as studied the main biochemical indicators of saliva, reflecting the level of metabolism in the oral cavity. Evaluation of chewing effectiveness was carried out taking into account the morphofunctional state of the dentoalveolar system, the nature of occlusal contacts, and the degree of adaptation of the chewing muscles after surgery. It has been established that patients after uranoplasty experience changes in both functional and metabolic indicators of the oral cavity, depending on the duration of the postoperative period and the effectiveness of rehabilitation measures.
