Abstract

The development of society, technological progress, and the requirements of globalization have greatly influenced approaches to teaching foreign languages, particularly English. The effective acquisition of the English language is now considered a necessity in various spheres of life such as science, business, education, and intercultural communication. Therefore, the evolution of teaching methods in English language instruction has become one of the central issues in pedagogy. Today’s modern methodologies emphasize not only the learning of language structures, but also the practical application of language, the development of communicative competence, and the preparation of learners to participate actively in real-world social and academic contexts. This article explores current approaches, fundamental principles, and benefits of modern methodologies in the teaching of English.
