Abstract

This article examines the main sources of the formation and development of Russian onomastic terms. It analyzes the historical, cultural, linguistic, and social factors that influenced the development of the onomastic system of the Russian language. Particular attention is paid to the influence of Old Russian tradition, Church Slavonic, and borrowings from other languages. The article also examines current trends in the development of onomastic terminology in the context of globalization and digitalization of society.
