Abstract

This article examines scientific terminology in linguistics as a crucial tool for scientific knowledge and communication. It analyzes the main sources of terminological system formation, its structural and semantic features, and the patterns of its functioning in various fields of linguistics. Particular attention is paid to issues of standardization, term borrowing, and the influence of globalization on the development of linguistic terminology. Current trends related to the digitalization of science and interdisciplinary research are considered.
