Abstract

The present article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of modern approaches and pedagogical innovations in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in the context of globalization and digital transformation of education. The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of contemporary methodologies, including Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), and blended learning, in the development of learners’ communicative competence.Particular attention is given to the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), artificial intelligence tools, and gamification techniques in optimizing the learning process. The article also examines psychological factors influencing language acquisition, such as motivation, anxiety, and learner autonomy, based on established linguistic and pedagogical theories.The findings of the study indicate that the integration of innovative pedagogical approaches with digital technologies significantly enhances learners’ engagement, improves linguistic performance, and fosters independent learning skills.
