Abstract

In the 21st century, English language teaching (ELT) has undergone significant transformation due to globalization, technological advancement, and evolving learner expectations. This article explores modern methods of teaching English, focusing on both current practices and future trends. It examines communicative language teaching (CLT), task-based learning (TBL), technology-enhanced instruction, and learner-centered approaches as dominant strategies in contemporary classrooms. Additionally, the paper analyzes future directions such as artificial intelligence, personalized learning, and immersive technologies. The study argues that flexibility, innovation, and digital competence are essential for teachers to remain effective in a rapidly changing educational environment.
