Abstract

this article analyzes the structure of the human eye as a complex optical system, its primary elements (cornea, crystalline lens, and vitreous body), and their refractive power. The mechanism of image formation on the retina, the process of accommodation, and the primary optical defects of the eye (myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism) are examined. Furthermore, special attention is given to the physical and biological foundations of correcting these defects in modern ophthalmology.
