Abstract

This article investigates the influence of social media on foreign language learning among youth. Modern digital platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube have become not only sources of entertainment but also effective informal learning tools. The study highlights how hashtags, memes, and online communication enhance vocabulary, creativity, and intercultural competence. However, it also examines negative effects such as declining grammar accuracy and attention span. The paper concludes that social media, when used wisely, can complement traditional education and motivate learners through interaction and creativity.
