Abstract

The paper explores the pedagogical and neuro-linguistic impact of music on learners’ cognitive engagement and intrinsic motivation in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) contexts. It argues that music-based learning activates multiple brain regions responsible for linguistic processing, memory, and emotional resonance, which, in turn, foster more effective and enjoyable learning experiences. The findings suggest that integrating music into EFL curricula not only increases linguistic competence but also contributes to emotional well-being and sustained motivation.
