Abstract

The article demonstrates that the unique natural-geographical conditions of Uzbekistan (desert zones, transboundary water resources, and the Aral Sea tragedy) necessitate the consideration of regional differences in the practical application of environmental law. An analysis of the adaptation of existing national legislation to geographical peculiarities is conducted, and for the first time, the model of “regional environmental legal regimes” is proposed on a scientific basis. The suggested approach creates new opportunities for reducing environmental risks and ensuring sustainable development.
