Abstract

This article analyzes methodological approaches to the use of modern digital technologies in the teaching of geography today, aimed at shaping students' geographical knowledge and skills. Digital technologies enable the improvement of educational effectiveness, the introduction of interactive teaching methods, and the automation of the educational process.

The article highlights the impact of online platforms, artificial intelligence, Google Earth, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technologies on education. The effectiveness of digital educational technology tools, ways to integrate them into the teaching process, and methods for developing competencies related to information technologies are studied.
