This article presents a comparative analysis of the verbs of
intensity in English and Uzbek languages, examining how these verbs function in
both languages to express varying degrees of intensity in actions, states, and
emotions. Intensity, as a linguistic concept, plays a crucial role in shaping the
nuances of meaning in communication. The study focuses on identifying the most
commonly used intensity verbs in both English and Uzbek, analyzing their
semantic properties, syntactic structures, and cultural connotations. Through a
detailed examination of verb forms and their applications in everyday discourse,
literature, and idiomatic expressions, the article reveals key similarities and
differences in the ways intensity is conveyed. Special attention is given to the
cultural influences on the use of intensity verbs, highlighting how language reflects
and shapes the perceptions of intensity in different cultural contexts. The research
utilizes both qualitative and quantitative methods, drawing on corpus data and
examples from native speakers of both languages. The findings contribute to a
deeper understanding of the linguistic mechanisms behind intensity expression and
offer insights into cross-linguistic differences and commonalities in verbal
