Mazkur maqolada peer mentoring (tengdosh mentorligi) modelining nazariy asoslari, amaliy qo‘llanish sohalari va uning talabalarning akademik hamda shaxsiy rivojlanishiga ta’siri tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqot doirasida oliy ta’lim tizimida mentorlik dasturlarining samaradorligi bo‘yicha mavjud ilmiy adabiyotlar ko‘rib chiqilib, tengdoshlar o‘rtasidagi hamkorlikning o‘qish natijalari, moslashuv jarayoni va talabalarning o‘qishni davom ettirish ko‘rsatkichlariga ijobiy ta’siri yoritiladi. Shuningdek, peer mentoringning ta’lim, professional muhit va ijtimoiy faoliyatdagi imkoniyatlari hamda uning afzalliklari — norasmiy muhit yaratishi, iqtisodiy samaradorligi va o‘zaro ishonchni mustahkamlashi asoslab beriladi. Peer mentoring (tengdosh mentorligi), uning bugungi kundagi ahamiyati, avzalliklari va imkoniyatlari yoritib berilgan.
