LINGUOCULTURAL ASPECTS OF ENGLISH LOANWORDS IN UZBEK

This article examines the process and impact of English loanwords in the Uzbek language from a linguocultural perspective. It highlights the reasons for borrowing, the types of loanwords, and their semantic and cultural implications in Uzbek. The study explores how these loanwords have been adapted in terms of pronunciation, spelling, and meaning, as well as their influence on contemporary Uzbek culture, especially in the realms of technology, business, and youth culture. The paper also discusses the role of language contact, globalization, and the influence of English in shaping the linguistic and cultural landscape of modern Uzbekistan.
