Abstract

This article explores the impact of regular reading on vocabulary development
and writing quality. Reading exposes individuals to new words in context, reinforces
grammar, and demonstrates effective sentence and paragraph structures. Additionally,
it enhances critical thinking, idea development, and writing confidence. Different types
of reading materials, including fiction, non-fiction, and online content, contribute to
various aspects of writing skills. The article emphasizes that habitual reading is
essential for students, professionals, and writers who aim to communicate effectively
and improve their overall writing performance. Empirical studies and expert opinions
support the conclusion that reading regularly is a foundational activity for strong
language proficiency and writing excellence.
