Allergic emergencies in children represent a critical aspect of pediatric
practice, requiring timely recognition and intervention to prevent life-threatening
complications. Epidemiological data indicate that allergic diseases affect nearly one
third of the global pediatric population, with a steady upward trend in recent decades.
This rise is attributed to increasing environmental pollution, widespread use of
chemical additives, dietary allergens, irrational drug administration, and urban lifestyle
changes. Among acute allergic conditions, anaphylaxis, acute bronchial asthma
attacks, and severe urticaria are the most frequent emergencies observed in children.
Early diagnosis based on clinical criteria, rapid assessment of airway and circulatory
function, and administration of adrenaline, corticosteroids, and antihistamines are
crucial for effective management. The study emphasizes the importance of preventive
strategies, including allergen avoidance, patient education, and strengthening of
emergency medical preparedness in pediatric healthcare systems.
