Annotatsiya: Ushbu ilmiy maqola Markaziy Osiyodagi eng jiddiy ekologik
falokatlardan biri - Orol dengizining qurib qolishi hodisasining sabab va oqibatlariga
bagʻishlanadi. Tadqiqot falokatning asosiy ildizi boʻlgan, XX asr oʻrtalaridagi keng
qamrovli va resurslarga putur yetkazuvchi Sovet irrigatsiya siyosati va uning suv
resurslarining tabiiy aylanishiga qilgan halokatli taʼsirini tahli qiladi. Maqolada ushbu
siyosat natijasida yuzaga kelgan keng gamrovli muammolar - suv tanqisligining
kuchayishi, ekologik tizimlarning vayron boʻlishi, qishloq xoʻjaligi va sogʻliqni
saqlashga boʻlgan ogʻir iqtisodiy-ijtimoiy ogibatlar chuqur oʻrganiladi. Asosiy eʼtibor
nafaqat tarixiy tahlilga, balki zamonaviy sharoitda muammoni bartaraf etish yoʻllariga
qaratilgan boʻlib, suv samaradorligini oshirish, barqaror qishloq xoʻjaligini
rivojlantirish va mintaqaviy hamkorlikni mustahkamlash boʻyicha amaliy chora-
tadbirlar taklif etiladi.
