Abstract

Abstract 
This article explores the dominant role of English in the global music industry 
through a linguistic analysis of song lyrics. English has become the primary language 
of international music communication, influencing both native and non-native artists. 
The  study  examines  lexical  choices,  stylistic  features,  code-switching,  and  cultural 
references in popular song lyrics. Additionally, it highlights how English contributes 
to global reach, audience engagement, and cultural exchange. The article emphasizes 
the importance of English in shaping modern music trends and its impact on linguistic 
diversity.
