ABSTRACT
This study evaluated the yield performance of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.)
varieties and breeding lines under the conditions of the Namangan Scientific
Experimental Station of the Research Institute of Vegetable, Melon Crops and Potato
during the 2026 growing season. The experiment was conducted under field conditions
with four replications. Arizona, Uzbekistan Qizili, Aqrab, Liliya, Venger Rozsa
varieties and the MIKS, N-1 and N-2 breeding lines were included in the study.
Considerable differences in yield were observed among the tested genotypes. The
highest average yield was recorded for the Liliya variety (22.3 t ha⁻¹), followed by
Arizona (21.5 t ha⁻¹) and Venger Rozsa (21.4 t ha⁻¹). Among the breeding materials,
the N-2 line demonstrated promising productivity with an average yield of 20.3 t ha⁻¹.
The obtained results indicate that these genotypes are well adapted to the agro-climatic
conditions of the Namangan region and can be recommended for seed potato
production and future breeding programs. The findings contribute to the scientific
development of potato seed production and support the supply of high-quality seed
material to farmers.
