Abstract. Games have become one of the most effective methods for teaching
English to young learners because they make lessons more enjoyable, interactive, and
meaningful. This paper examines the role of games in improving children’s English
learning by reviewing previous studies. It discusses how educational games increase
learners’ motivation, develop vocabulary and speaking skills, encourage classroom
interaction, and support social and cognitive development. The study also highlights
the importance of selecting games that are appropriate for learners’ age, language
level, and learning objectives. Based on the reviewed literature, it can be concluded
that games are valuable teaching tools that help young learners acquire English more
effectively while creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
