Abstract

This paper examines the role of the Present Simple tense in English language learning in modern educational contexts. It explains the grammatical functions, communicative uses, and pedagogical importance of the Present Simple tense. The study analyzes how this tense supports learners in expressing daily routines, general truths, habits, and factual information. The findings show that mastery of the Present Simple tense improves grammatical accuracy, communicative competence, and learner confidence. The article provides methodological recommendations for effective teaching of the Present Simple tense in English language classrooms.
