ANATOMICAL VARIATIONS OF THE CIRCLE OF WILLIS AND THEIR CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS IN CEREBROVASCULAR DISORDERS: A MORPHOLOGICAL STUDY
Keywords:
Circle of Willis, anatomical variation, cerebral circulation, cerebrovascular disorders, arterial hypoplasia.Abstract
The Circle of Willis represents a critical arterial anastomotic system at the base
of the brain, ensuring collateral cerebral circulation. Anatomical variations of this
structure are common and may significantly influence cerebral hemodynamics,
particularly in patients with cerebrovascular disorders. The present study aimed to
analyze morphological variations of the Circle of Willis and assess their potential
clinical implications.
